The Jodl Verpackungen GmbH is an innovative, future-oriented family business based in Lenzing, Upper Austria. As a leading producer with a continuously expanding product range, we draw upon over 50 years of experience in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of pre-made pouches and packaging films. In doing so, we consistently prioritize the highest quality, customer orientation, and delivery reliability.

History
1970
The establishment as a sole proprietorship under the name "Polycord" in Vöcklabruck laid the foundation for today's company.
Initially, production primarily focused on vineyard tying tape for viticulturists, as well as paper bags for the surrounding bakeries.
1980
Driven by continuous product innovation and strong customer focus, the company rapidly evolved into a recognized partner for the bread and bakery industry within its first ten years. Additionally, the company was converted into a GmbH.
1982
The production operations of QVS Hornig were acquired. As part of this acquisition, four machines were taken over.
1985
The building of the former Gober carpentry is acquired, and operations are relocated to the Vöcklabruck site.
1986
The acquisition of Koreska's facilities from Vienna paves the way for the Top Recycle product.
1989
The second generation, Alfred and Herbert Jodl, assume leadership of the company.
1992
The acquisition of Olbersdorfer Kunststoff GmbH laid the groundwork for the independent production of films. In 2001, Olbersdorfer Kunststoff GmbH was closed, and its property was sold.
1993
The Top Recycle product is honored with the Austrian Environmental Award. This biodegradable, compostable, decomposable, and reusable meat paper is coated with biodegradable vegetable fats, replacing traditional paraffin coatings.
1998
The relocation of the main site to Lenzing establishes an internationally recognized industrial production facility.
1998
The bag manufacturing operations of Wolff Walsrode AG are acquired.
1998
Due to the significant and continuously growing volume of customer inquiries from France, a wholly-owned subsidiary named "Austrobags" is established in Lyon.
The local sales team enables faster and more effective engagement with the French market.
1998
The acquisition of a forest plot for CO2 compensation purposes is initiated.
2010
Wipf AG discontinues its Marchtrenk branch. Subsequently, customers, employees, machinery, and new technologies are acquired and integrated into the Lenzing site.
2013
Over the past decade, Jodl has evolved into a reliable partner for renowned
food producers across Europe.
2022
A generational transition occurs with Jürgen Jodl and Christoph Jodl assuming roles as the new managing directors.
2023
An extension expands the ground floor production areas by approximately 860m², and new social facilities spanning approximately 860m² are provided for employees on the first floor. Furthermore, the extension facilitated the creation of additional office spaces. A retention sample storage facility is established on the second floor.

Our company is certified in accordance with the quality management system ISO 9001:2015, the global standards for packaging and packaging materials BRC, the HACCP Standards, and FSC® (FSC-C135485).
